About IELTS

The International English Language Testing System(IELTS), is a paper based test designed to assess Test Taker's English communnication skills in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking tasks. The Exam is scored out of 9 Bands, to measure the level of proficiency in English. Band score 1 is attributed as Non-Speaker and 9 as Expert. 

There are two types in the IELTS- General and Academic. Test takers who are applying to Universities are required to write Academic version, where as those who are migrating for work need to write the General Version.

2 Tasks

Task 1 is about writing your analysis on a given graph, table, chart or diagram. In Task 2, you have to write in response to a given Argument or Point of view.

Speaking

Part 1 deals with answering general questions about yourself and other familiar topics.

 In part 2, you’re given a cue card in which a certain topic and some instructions are written. You’re asked to talk about that topic, after 1 minute of preparation.

Part 3 is an extension of part 2 where you’re asked to talk further about the topic given above dealing with more abstract ideas and issues.

General and Academic tests have same Listening and Speaking  sections, , but the subject matter of the Reading and Writing components differs depending on which test you take.

The Listening, Reading and Writing components of all IELTS tests are completed on the same day, with no breaks in between them.

The Speaking component, however, can be completed up to a week before or after the other tests. Your test centre will advise.

The total test time is 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Which Universities accept IELTS?

All the Universities, where the courses are taught in English accept IELTS. IELTS is also a prerequsite to apply for Canada's Work Permit and Citizenship process. 

How long are my Scores Valid for?

The IELTS Scores are valid upto two yesrs from the date of exam.

What is the Exam fee?

The IELTS Exam fee as of April 2018, is Rs 12,650

IELTS Classes

Our IELTS Course duration is 4 weeks long where we cover one module of Reading, Writing, Listening or Speaking per week. 

We also have IELTS Long Track for students who want to start from the Basics of English. This track would be 7 weeks long where we'll spend extra time especially on Speaking, Writing , and Listening. 

For each section, we introduce different kinds of questions that student will face in the test at the beginning of the week. We then give out in-class practice tests, provide feedback, clarify doubts on individual tasks for the rest of the week. 

The student additionally gets 10 Full length Sample tests, for his/her perusal.

When do New batches start?

We have a new batch starting Every Monday both in the morning and evening.  You can find the details on the notofications bar of this website, you can also call us to get to know more about class timings, duration etc.. 

What is cost of enrolling in IELTS classes?

Currently, we're charging Rs 6000/- per candidate for regular batch and Rs 8000/- for Long Track - this fee includes study material also. The student need not buy any additional CAMBRIDGE material, as we cover most of the questions in the study material itself. Students can also take combined GRE and IELTS Tracks, which come at a discounted price. 

Once I've finished the course, can i re-attend the classes in the future?

Yes, you can. We issue every student an ID- This ID is valid for 1 year from the date of enrolling. Student can show this ID or the fee receipt at the counter to attend the class. No additional charges for re-attending the course.
